"Percy"

Percy is a budgie living in a cage in a flat occupied by a man and his girlfriend. At the time the play opens, Percy is afraid that he is going mad, so he invents an angel to talk to. It is during these conversations that we learn of Percy’s insights into the world of humans. A girl budgie, Sparkie, is introduced into the cage, with mixed results. Funny, poignant, thought-provoking.
